Description:
Open field arenas are commonly used to assess anxiety phenotypes and general locomotor activity patterns. This system monitors locomotor activity using video cameras. Videos from cameras are displayed on the computer screen for user monitoring, also they could be recorded for later review. The software provides measurements of ambulatory and stereotypic behavior, including ambulatory distance, time spent ambulatory, average velocity, stereotypic time, etc.
